Meet Andrew Fulton
Founder and Principal Consultant
Andrew’s mining career spans over 30 years, across operational leadership, site-based delivery and international advisory. He began in the UK mining sector before relocating to South Africa, where he spent 16 years with Anglo American, progressing to General Manager of one of its major operations.
He returned to the UK in 2011 to lead one of its last deep mines through a period of transformation, overseeing safety performance, workforce restructuring and a major technical transition at ICL Boulby.
Since establishing Gatesbridge in 2013, Andrew has worked across 15 countries on four continents, guiding turnaround projects, feasibility assessments, stakeholder planning and risk-based decision making. He often acts as a client-side representative, bridging technical insight with operational execution.
